Birds & Brews – Fountain Creek Nature Center & Peaks N Pines Brewing

Fountain Creek Nature Center (9am) followed by Peaks N Pines Brewing Company (12pm)
– With a mix of woodland, wetland, meadow, and pond habitats along Fountain Creek, the trails in Fountain Creek Regional Park are great all year for birding. We’ll check out the birdfeeders, listen for Great Horned Owls and Virginia Rails, scope out the ponds for waterfowl, and look for rarities at the ‘spa’. Afterwards we’ll head into Fountain for a couple beers at Peaks N Pines.
– Difficulty: Easy/Moderate. We will be on relatively flat terrain and will walk no more than 2.5 miles.
– Bring binoculars and dress for the Fountain forecast.
– Restrooms available at the start and end of the walk
– Meet at Fountain Creek Nature Center, 320 Pepper Grass Lane.
