SUMMARY:Birds & Brews - Manitou Lake followed by BierWerks with Jessica Miller
DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, September 22 \nManitou Lake (9am)  followed by BierWerks (12pm)\nManitou Lake is surrounded by evergreen forests\, meadows\, and wetlands formed by beaver dams. The diverse habitat\, flat walking\, and lovely scenery make this a great birding destination\, especially during migration! On our way home we’ll stop by BierWerks Brewery in Woodland Park to enjoy German ales and lagers.\n– Difficulty: Easy/Moderate. This 2 mile hike is along mostly flat\, uneven trails. There’s a lot to see and explore so we’ll be on our feet the whole time.\n– Bring binoculars and dress for the Woodland Park forecast. Lederhosen not necessary.\n– At the entrance\, a $10 fee per vehicle is charged. Option to carpool/caravan from Old Colorado City area at 7:15am.\n– RSVP by emailing trip leader Jessica Miller at jessicaisbirding@gmail.com
