Things you might want to bring: binoculars, spotting scope, ID books, hat, rain gear, sunscreen, bug spray, water, snacks and/or lunch, gas money for the driver, any entry fees, and boundless enthusiasm. And remember, good birders don't wear white! Please contact the trip leader or listed trip contact for additional information and to let them know you are coming. It's helpful to the leader to know how many participants to expect. Plus, you sure don't want them to leave without you! In cases of extreme weather conditions, trips may need to be cancelled. If you have any questions about the weather, please contact the trip leader an hour before the scheduled meeting time. Finding Aiken birders is easy. Just look for the group with funky hats and binoculars pointed at the crows and starlings. Here are directions to some of our regular rendezvous spots:

Field Trips Saturday, February 4, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm At the Reservoir, we will take some time to enjoy activities at the Division of Wildlife’s and Arkansas Valley Audubon Society’s Eagle Days Celebration: Air Force Academy falcons, rehab bird releases and maybe a visit to the Pueblo Raptor Center. Please bring a sack lunch and a full tank of gas. We will be outside for short periods with a few short walks if the weather is bearable. A great trip for beginners! Meet at Broadmoor Towne Center.
